Iran to name Sacred Defense Book of the Year in mid-Nov.

TEHRAN, Sept. 5 (MNA) – The Sacred Defense Book of the Year will be introduced in an award-giving ceremony here on Nov. 15.

 

Organized by the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense Works and Values, the 10th edition of the annual event marks the commencement of the Book Week, head of the secretariat said Tuesday.  

 

 

Mohammadreza Sangari added his office has received 362 works.

 

The event comprising nine committees, including story, poetry, children and juniors, art, military research, and biography aims to introduce not only the gifted authors and literary figures but the standards of a superior work in the field of Sacred Defense (1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war) literature, he said.

 

Sangari called for experts’ and scholars’ assistance with authors and publishers.
